Our Team
I’m a Clinical Psychologist working with adolescents aged 12 and over and adults. My style is warm, informal and collaborative. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself, speak honestly and feel understood, without it feeling overly clinical or formal. More than anything, I am interested in hearing your story, understanding what is happening for you, and working together to find a way forward.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted, struggling in relationships, dealing with difficult experiences, or noticing the same patterns repeating despite trying to change them. Sometimes there is no obvious problem. You simply know that something does not feel quite right. You do not need to have worked it all out before coming to therapy. We can make sense of it together.
Who I Work With
I work across a broad range of psychological and life difficulties. I particularly enjoy working with teen girls, people who have experienced trauma or difficult life experiences, relationship and attachment difficulties, emotionally complex or longstanding concerns, and people who feel stuck in patterns they do not quite know how to change.
I also have a particular interest in neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism, and how this can affect emotions, relationships, identity, self esteem and everyday life.
I welcome people from diverse backgrounds, identities, lifestyles and relationship structures, including sex workers and people in consensually non monogamous relationships. My aim is to provide an affirming and genuinely non judgemental space where you do not have to edit parts of yourself or your life in order to feel understood.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach is relational and tailored to the person sitting in front of me. I am interested not only in what is happening now, but in understanding you as a whole person, including your experiences, relationships, patterns, strengths, values and what may have shaped the way you see yourself and others.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), interpersonal therapy and mindfulness based approaches. I also have additional training in the SafeCare Method.
Sometimes therapy is practical and focused on strategies to help with what is happening now. At other times, it may be helpful to explore longstanding patterns, relationships or experiences from the past. While therapeutic techniques are important, I place just as much value on the relationship we build. I want therapy to feel like something we are doing together rather than something being done to you.
