Clinical Psychology Treatment Mount Lawley

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist. Having practised for almost 20 years across a wide range of settings I have developed skills in many forms of evidence-based assessment and intervention. I’m told that I have a warm, understanding, and collaborative style. I aim to provide you with a secure and non-judgemental environment so that you can put aside the worries of the day and enjoy some peaceful focus on yourself. We will work together to decide the goals of therapy and collaborate on a plan to reach them.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I have experience in a wide range of presenting issues. If you’re feeling unhappy or just “stuck” in your life, feeling overwhelmed or caught in conflict with others or yourself then consider coming to talk about it. Therapy can assist you in developing an understanding of the problems and of yourself, as well as finding the strategies and motivation needed to make some changes. Over the years, I have developed extensive experience and special interests in the areas of drug and alcohol dependency, anxiety disorders, stress management and building resiliency.

As a Clinical Neuropsychologist, I have worked in a range of outpatient services and in the tertiary education sector. I have experience in assessment and treatment planning following traumatic brain injuries, assessment of dementia, as well as assessment and support around adult ADHD and other learning disorders. I have conducted research into the impacts of alcohol and other drugs on brain function and how this can impact on recovery, which allows me a particular insight into assisting clients in that regard.

Outside of my clinical work I serve as the Chair of the APS national college of clinical neuropsychology, after having served as the WA state chair for four years. I am also a casual lecturer in the University of Western Australia’s School of Psychology and a clinical supervisor at both Murdoch University’s Psychology clinic and at Next Step/Drug and Alcohol Youth Service. Additionally, I provide both supervision and consultancy services to registrars and my fellow clinicians. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in seeking supervision.
