Psychologist - External Private Practitioner

Personable and friendly, guided by your goals and pace – and if you want, with a push towards the change you want are ready to manage. I seek to develop a trusted therapeutic relationship as a foundation to working together to identify contributing factors to areas of current distress and discover a workable pathway forward.

I enjoy supporting people of all ages experiencing a variety of challenges (such as anxiety, depression, trauma, loneliness, and just ‘feeling different’) and developing recognition of strengths and needs which can be challenging to remember are still there when going through a difficult time.

I have worked extensively with young children and their parents, which has included liaising with schools to support identification and implementation of appropriate educational accommodations.

I have experience working with NDIS participants and I am an approved ‘Psychologist – External Private Practitioner’ with the Department of Communities.

Children vary in their ability to participate in therapy and is not necessarily determined by age. Play-based therapy is often a large component of sessions in working with young children (particularly pre-adolescence). In my experience, suitability for therapy starts to be more evident from about the age of 5-years-old.
